Shutter Island

I really liked it to be honest. It was one of those movies where I was still thinking about wtf happened for an hour after seeing it. And that = money well spent imo.

What did you guys think?

Ug, I really want to see it but your post makes it seem like there's no closure which usually bugs the **** out of me.

LOL, I actually do love Lost but I am pissed at the end of every season. My wife and I watch the full season after it comes out every year and have already admitted to ourselves the finale will give us no closure but we must watch it.

I've been watching it.. they are 3 eps in and not really any closer to making sense. I feel like there are so many loose ends that if they didn't get started answering some **** right away then it's likely to be a last minute resolution that basically trivializes everything.

IE Hugo's dream, you're all dead etc

I do know that during the early seasons the writers flat out said it's not anyone's dream.

I didn't watch the last season of Lost and I am obviously not gonna touch this season until the finale is out.

But then I'm going to have to race to watch the last two seasons back to back before checking any forums or talking to anyone irl as to not stumble upon spoilers.

I thought it was a great movie and I have to disagree with the whole no closure thing. Normally when there's a movie I really like I get so into it that for a bit after I leave the theater I feel I've been impacted by the movie. And after this movie I definitely felt different lol. I'm not sure how to explain it but I don't wanna ruin it for anyone. I will just say that it's an excellent movie and everyone should see it

During some points I doubted the direction they were trying to go in with the movie, like when they were playing the music mostly but after seeing it I totally understand and it was a really well made movie

It was a great movie, I give it a 9/10. almost a 9.5/10. People who dont like the ending most likely did not understand it or missed what he says before he walks off.

everyone should go see it. Scorsese is a genius. and Leo is always good too for that matter.

saw this last night. Unfortunately I went into it expecting alot more from what friends and you guys said about it. That being said, it was still good - just not great.

****SPOILER ALERT****

So he was aware of what he did at the end right? He just would rather be lobotomized then live with knowing what he did?

Also his "crime that was so despicable he blocked it out" wasn't even that bad....His wife's was far worse and in my eyes what he did was understandable / expected.

I don't think that it was necessarily that his crime was so despicable or unjustified.. just that it was so traumatic.

And yea.. he knew what he had done at the end of the movie.
